Sealing vertical and horizontal expansion joints (excluding joints in contact with potable water -using Sikaflex PRO 2HP -or chemicals and floor joints subject to heavy traffic- using Sikaflex PRO 3WF. Please consult SikaTechnical Department)
Materials
Sikaflex Construction (J): 1-component polyurethane based sealant
Sika Primer 3: Primer for Sikaflex applied either on damp or dry substrate.
Materials Consumption
Sikaflex Construction (J): ~100 ml or 130 g/m1 for 10 mm x 10 mm joint size
Sika Primer 3: approx. 5 g/m1 for 10 mm x 10 mm joint size
Joint Configuration
Movement Capacity = ~25 % of average joint width
Width : depth ratio = 1 : 1 (for joint width up to 10 mm)
Width : depth ratio = 2 : 1 (for joint width more than 10 mm)
Min. width of joint = 10 mm
Colors
Sikaflex Construction is available in two colors: grey and white
Tools:
Apply Sikaflex Construction using caulking gun, apply Sika Primer 3 by brush. Trowel or spatula can be used for surface finishing.
